Why Kids That Go?
Because you want high quality, real life care from clinicians who are passionate about seeing your child thrive and your relationship flourish.
Raising confident, healthy, independent kids takes plenty of patience, lots of love and real information. We parents have all felt guilty, incapable or just under pressure. Maybe this is because of old wives’ tales, outdated information or the dreaded “Don’t worry, they’ll grow out of it” (grrrrr!).
Some of you are loving this phase of parenting these new humans, but there has been a hiccup along the way: chronic illness, grief in the family, unexpected behaviours or poor educational outcomes. We are here to help.
At Kids That Go, your questions and concerns are welcome: you will be heard. Our individualised assessment and intervention approach ensures that you do not receive a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Because we all know “one size” doesn’t exist.
Teens and Kids:
When you come to Kids That Go, you can expect to have fun and learn new things about your brain and body, how they work and how to make them do what you want them to. You can ask us your questions, and we will give you an answer or find it out!
We are happy to advocate on your behalf. That means, if there is a problem at school, with your medical carers or in your family, we love making sure that everyone has the same information. Even if you don’t know how to say it to them yourself. Really, part of our job is to help people understand what you need to be safe, independent and confident.
How we can help:
We are toileting therapists, caring for kids with poo or wee issues, day or night, through tailored evidence-based programs.
Self care, sensory processing, school readiness, fine motor, handwriting, anxiety and behaviour. Growing up is a busy thing!
Kids with Disabilities
The pathway to growing up takes it's own track sometimes. We are here to help with tailored, experienced care, advocacy and skill development.
Kids with Chronic Illness
Growing up can take tricky, unexpected turns. With personal experience and compassion, we are here to help both kids and families grow through these challenges.
